Dan entertained us with his poetry on Monday the 4th of April 2011. We usually have our poetry Gigs at Espresso dot com in Kommetjie on the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. Hugh Hodge organises the gigs and MC's the poetry gigs in the Southern Peninsula. We also have a gig at Kalk Bay books once a month and at Daily Grind Coffee shop in Fishhoek once a month.

We start off the procedings with a featured poet. In this case it was Dan Wylie.
After the featured poet we have a short break and then an open mike where anybody can read poetry; their own, or someone else's. Sometimes we get entertained with song as well.
Lewis Watling, our oldest regular at 91, invariably has something to offer.
